Woobang Tower Park

It is very popular to have English on your clothing. Sometimes these phrases are really funny:

If you notice the girl's shirt in this picture, it says "Paris" on the top, and "Tokyo" on the bottom, with an arrow in the middle pointing up and down. I don't get it:

The Waegwan Middle School took a field trip to Woobang Tower Land in Daegu. I was a guide, as you can see in this picture. I had a sticker to prove it; this sticker gave me the power to go on every ride no problem. (Otherwise I would have needed a wristband. Yeah, they make you pay per ride there.):

Many of the schools in the Daegu area take field trips to Woobang Tower Land during this time of year, and today was one of those days. Many many young Koreans around:

While getting some awesome amusement park food, I ran into this South African EPIK teacher who went through the same orientation as I did. I don't remember her name, I bet you that she doesn't remember mine. But, there weren't many foreigners besides us 2. I'm finding it really difficult to remember names lately, ESPECIALLY Korean names. So many of my students get really sad when I don't remember their names. I'm getting a little spoiled by all of the attention. People always wanting to take pictures with me, and calling out to me "handsome guy" from across the street... When I go back to the USA, I am going to be really depressed.

I was honestly a little scared for my life at times. One of those times was while riding the ride below, please notice how you are not strapped in, you need to wrap your arms around the bars on the sides to make sure that you don't go flying. It was very jarring and uncomfortable, I don't understand why anyone would build such a thing. The video at the bottom will surely convince you how this thing was totally sketch-factor 2000:

There were other cool things:

In Korea, they don't let you ride if you are drunken:

There was this one called Can Can, that was kind of like a spinny zipper. It was cool. One of my students bet me that if I screamed then I had to buy her ice cream, and vice versa. She ended up buying ice cream for me anyway, even though I didn't scream.

The amusement park was on a hillside, and there were some stairs that we had to traverse a few times. There was funny romantic things written all over the place on these stairs, behind the girl going down the stairs, it says "love forever" on the heart. Awwwwwwwww:

Even though it was kind of hot, I give Woobang tower land a 8 out of 10. The reason that it is not a 9 out of 10 is because we got there at 9:30 AM. I think that that is a little too early to arrive at an amusement park. Check out the bus driver's gear shift:

It was hot, and we were tired:
