The ocean, y
My ultimate dream is to live in one of those condos right there on the water:
We didn't really know where we were going, so we just kind of walked through the town and crossed over this bridge that took us to this weird park
A lot of the trees were being held up by supports and there was random exercise equipment here and there and there were all of these orderly groups of people sitting and socializing. There were no screaming children, no teenage couples making out in the bushes, it was all kind of surreal. They had these awesome bench seat lay-ey things:
Micah is sitting on one:
We found ourselves on this beautiful stretch of this untouched industrial beach, complete with authentic odors and plastics and broken glass:
We walked along this beach for a while, soaking it all in, passing by a few interesting signs and barricades:
The beach ended, and we found ourselves walking along a road that was adjacent to a shipyard, we were drinking Pocari Sweat the whole time:
We walked into this one area, and were quickly greeted by some nice Korean Coast Guard guys who knew some English and called a taxi for us, because we were totally on their coast guard property and we totally could have given away all kinds of military secrets:
You can't really see them in this picture, but the guns on the sides of the coast guard vessels were a little freaky:
The Taxi Driver dropped us off at Bukbu beach, and I was like "ahhhhh, I miss Florida!! Everyone has all their clothes on!!!" I mean, it was like 5 in the afternoon, but still.
We walked on, and found this hilly tree-ey park area that was a little eerie and deserted, the fountain was totally off, but there were trails all around the hill and we walked on some and I was able to get some awesome pictures:
I think that they might turn the fountain on because it is a holiday tomorrow: Children's Day. So we don't have school!! And we can go to Pohang!! And eat pizza!! This was the view from the pizza place. It was pretty gosh darn good. I had some garlic pizza. It made me very happy inside:
5 weeks into my Korean adventure, I still have yet to see a wild mammal of any kind, besides domesticated dogs, cats, rabbits, or humans.
