you know what is funny

Wednesday mornings I have a first peiod. My schedule says so. So, I arrive here at 8:20 like I'm supposed to, I print out my little handouts and cut them to size, and I'm sitting here waiting for the students, 9:05 rolls by, then 9:10... And I look at my schedule once again, and sure enough, it shows that I have a class at this time. Grade 3 class 4. So, I walk through the school hallway, (I have my own little room at the end of the hall called the Multi English Zone, the normal classrooms are labeled with a "3-1" for grade 3 class 1, or a "2-5" for grade 2 class 5). I look inside the 3-4 classroom and see a bunch of students, and you can imagine my confusion. I continue down the hall to the Teacher's Room, and I see one of my co-teachers in there, and she explains to me how some of the teachers are leaving at lunch so todays schedule had been shifted around. So, instead of a 1st period I have a 5th period. It would have been nice if they had told me this, right?

I was thoroughly warned about this phenomenon before I arrived in Korea, but still it catches me a little off guard whenever something like this happens.

Oh yeah, and today I see that the banks are charging me $40,000 in interest for my $116,000 education. They have to be joking. Laughable man.
