This morning, upon waking, I look over to see a mosquito friend buzzing around between the wall and the mosquito net, helplessly trying to find some weakness or crack that it could use to gain access to my CO2 emissions. I smiled, and said out loud, "Not this time, my friend". My mind began to contemplate the aggravation that that being would have caused me to experience during my slumber. I am so very thankful for my mosquito net.
And, on the walk to school, I see road workers and a giant asphalt mixer putting a fresh layer of asphalt on the road that leads to the school. A road that has been ridden with holes and gravel since I arrived in Waegwan just about 10 weeks ago. Seeing that truck was also an beautiful thing, I kind of want to go lay on the road right now. But it needs to cool down first. And I think that my clothes would get kind of dirty.
