Two Friends

Two friends go to a concert, and two friends go to the beach. In America, it is common for people to often use slang and refer to each other as "dude" or "man". "Gonna" and "wanna" actually mean "going to" and "want to", respectively. Because, in America, people are lazy, and don't speak properly, the way they do in your textbooks. We like to nickname our cars, and say the word "seriously". Seriously is a very difficult word to say, I know. And "buck" and "dollar" are referring to the same thing. I'd say, "give me 5 bucks" to a friend, but, "please give me 5 dollars" to my Mother or Father. When Micah says "NO WAY!" he doesn't mean, "No." or "Never. I'm not going." He means, "Wow!! That's cheap!" Because 15 dollars is not expensive for a popular concert.

Micah and I struck gold with these role playing exercises, and the above video is some of the outtakes from that session. I have found out that many of the students have cameras of their own, so I have challenged them to make a short video in English and then we can act it out and they will get candy and maybe I will teach them how to play a C chord.
