Last Week

Last week I did the Radiohead & the "about me" thing. I think that it went over pretty well. Although, this one kid told me that it was "headache music" and I wanted to smack him. He probably listens to the Pussycat Dolls. This week I have been bringing a guitar into class and I am doing a little "about the guitar" lesson, and then we are singing Yellow Submarine. It is going very well, even though I have to omit telling the kids about the drug references.

This is a Fender MUSTANG, but THIS is a Fender STRATOCASTER:

At the Sindong Middle School, one of my "classes" is to coach the English teachers, to help with their pronunciation. They have a better command of the English language, and I was able to get into Faraday and magnetism with them. I mentioned the fact that the "Yellow Submarine" was a little yellow amphetamine pill, and I don't think they were amused. Ahhh...

Musical Instrument Role Playing. Korean people have a lot of difficulty with the word "instrument":

The students respect me a lot. I am in the car with another teacher. I was walking and she picked me up. This seems to happen to me almost every day. I mean, I guess I stick out pretty badly...:

Paul, This is great - Glad you are blogging all this. We had a group from Career Development enjoying seeing you teaching with the Fender! Although it might get a little lonely sometimes - this is an awesome experience. Hope your parents are enjoying this blog too.

Watching from Orlando,
