I heard from someone recently that "just about every foreigner in South Korea has a blog of some sort, and it gets really, really redundant". I don't want to fall into that category.

I took kind of a longish break on blog updating. The reason why: I didn't want anything to jeopardize my newest job. I wanted to work on the island of jeju so bad, I prepared for it so much, that I didn't want to do anything that could stop it.

Sooooooooooo, I made it. After months and months of getting my transcripts and degrees apostilled and fingerprints and essays and recommendation letters and interviews and trips to immigration offices... I made it. You can see the view from my new apartment in the video above. Yes, it is worth it.

I'm near where it says "Jeju World Cup Stadium". The typhoon the other day wasn't nearly as bad as they said it was going to be. Even with my 10th floor action, I just needed to keep my windows closed because the gusts were getting a little crazy on the screens.
