feeling the love

You know kimchi and rice days? Well today is kind of the opposite, and it is even rarer than kimchi and rice days. Everyone had this nice noodle dish with awesome squid and condensed fish paste balls and who knows what else, but they gave me one that they had made for me before they put all of that other stuff in, can you believe it?? It seems so easy to do, and I want to encourage them to do it again, but I don't want to push my luck.

Yesterday the cook lady had a handful of squid vegetable mixture in one hand and three slabs of this ketchup-cabbage-pancake-looking thing in the other. When I approached, she took the squid hand away from my silver tray, but gave me the three ketchup-cabbage-pancake-looking things, and said "Kimchi" as she did it. I sat down, a little confused, and asked my co-teacher, "is this kimchi and egg?" And he said, "no, Kimchi and flour." I was like ok and then I looked closer in it and there were totally pieces of squid in it. I mean, seriously, at this point, why would she do that? Yeah, maybe she didn't know what was in it... But I still think that they think that "a little is ok" or that I won't notice or something. My co-teacher told me that I have very good eyes.
