This place is magic. You think that you are going downhill when you're actually going uphill. Unless you're faced the other direction. Then you feel like you're going uphill. 
See? Doesn't it kind of look like we're going downhill? We totally aren't. But you have to be on this specific stretch of road (between the signs below) otherwise you can use the rest of the road as a frame of reference and the optical illusion doesn't seem all that awesome. 
I wish that I had taken a picture of this sign on the other side of the street that said that there is a fine if you are caught walking around in that section of forest. I am all for protecting the environment, of course. But that section of the forest isn't part of a preserve or anything, so why can't we go in there? I don't understand. But you know what is a really cool optical illusion?:
